🇰🇷 South Korea Visa Guide 2026

For candidates planning to travel to South Korea, there are currently four primary visa processing methods:

Embassy Visa: This is the traditional route where documents are submitted to the Korean Embassy in Uzbekistan. If all established rules and regulations are followed, the process is straightforward and reliable.

E-visa: Issued directly by the South Korean Immigration Service, primarily for Master’s degree applicants. One major benefit is the possibility of applying without language proficiency certificates. Note that as of 2026, there has been a slight decrease in approval rates for this category.

Regional Visa: Managed by local immigration offices in South Korea. This visa is ideal for vocational training and Bachelor’s degree programs. While TOPIK Level 2 or IELTS 5.5 is generally expected, some universities accept students without certificates. Approval rates are often higher than traditional embassy routes.

Telex Visa: Known for having the highest approval guarantee. Once the Korean Immigration Service issues the visa number, the local Embassy confirms it 100%. This method is standard for D-4 (Language Trainee), F-1 (Family), E-7 (Work), and C 3-1 (Visitor) visas.
